Compulsory Acquisition

Valuation for compulsory acquisition is considered more complex than most other valuation purposes. It involves determining the market value of the property together with other heads of compensation that an owner may be eligible for under the Land Acqusition and Compensation Act. The valuer is expected to have a working knowledge of the Act and the various head of compensation which becomes all the more complex and time consuming if part of the property is being acquired.
